These improvements further enhance Yamaha’s enviable reputation among teachers and performers alike. The new Yamaha YFL221 standard flute demonstrates Yamaha's attention to detail. All Yamaha flutes are subject to rigorous testing procedures, and every instrument is hand adjusted and play-tested by craftsmen in order to ensure that the highest quality standards are consistently achieved. Reliability and durability are always important factors in selecting an instrument, and the YFL221 has redesigned key posts that allow for more accurate rod alignment and improve the overall strength. Hand-assembled and hand-adjusted keys ensure excellent touch and balance, while the new ergonomically shaped keys provide a comfortable and more natural playing position. Less experienced players will find the YFL221 easy to put together thanks to the newly introduced alignment marks, and the offset G key makes it easier to reach the G key. Minor adjustments to the YFL221 are easily achieved thanks to Yamaha's unique screw resistance inserts. These inserts allow very smooth and accurate adjustments and prevent the gradual loosening of the screws, which can become a problem.
