Description

The new Yamaha YPG225 digital keyboard features 76 piano style keys with an ultra-real piano feel. It has all of the best sounds available at the push of one button, and recording performances is simple to do with the built-in 6-track sequencer.

The Yamaha YPG 225 also features the Yamaha Education Suite and performance assistant. Other features include flash ROM memory, easy song arranger, backlit LCD that's easy on the eyes for viewing, USB connectivity, an Easy Song Arranger to remix MIDI files and play them your way, and a Music Database with 267 keyboard setups listed by song title. In other words, it's loaded.

Built-in USB Terminal
The USB port on the YPG225 acts as a MIDI interface, freeing you from having to purchase other MIDI peripherals like cables and adaptors to play music. Simply connect to your computer, open your favorite music software program and hit PLAY.

Easy Song Arranger
In addition to each song's default style, you can select any other style to play the song with the Easy Song Arranger feature. This means that you can play a song that is normally a ballad, for example, as a bossa nova, as a hip-hop tune, etc. You can create totally different arrangements by changing the style with which a song is played. You can also change the song's melody voice and the keyboard voice for a complete change of image.

Yamaha Education Suite
You can select song you like and use it for a left-hand, right-hand, or both-hands lesson. You can also use songs (only SMF format 0) downloaded from the Internet and saved to flash memory. During the lesson you can play as slowly as you like, and you can even play wrong notes. Song playback will slow down to a speed you can handle. It's never too late to start learning!

Music Database
You want to play music in your favorite style, but you're not sure how to select the best voice and style for the type of music you want to play ... simply select the appropriate style from the Music Database. The panel settings on the YPG225 will automatically be adjusted for the ideal combination of sounds and style!

Performance Assistant Technology
Play along with a song on the instrument's keyboard and produce a perfect performance every time... even if you play wrong notes! All you have to do is play on the keyboard--alternately on the left- and right-hand ranges of the keyboard, for example--and you'll sound like a pro as long as you play in time with the music.

Portable Grand Button
Playing piano is fast and easy on the YPG225 with Yamaha's Portable Grand function. One dedicated button brings up a great sounding piano, stunningly rich and authentic in its sound and exceptionally responsive to your playing touch, as well as setting up the keyboard to play as a piano in full keyboard mode.

Yamaha YPG225 Keyboard

I was looking for a musical keyboard to give to my granddaughters, and discovered the YPG225 keyboard. When I compared the 61 key models to this 76 key keyboard, it was a no brainer. The features and sound made it worth the difference in price. I've purchased from Andy's online before, and they're very good to deal with.
