The Yamaha AV10 acoustic violin is one of the first orchestral string instruments Yamaha has designed and built for the intermediate performer. Available in full size only, this violin is designed especially for the intermediate student.
The Yamaha AV10 provides the same technology and craftsmanship used in professional models. The AV10 features a hand carved Spruce top, Maple back, Ebony fingerboard and pegs, oil varnish and genuine inlaid purfling. The staff of the internationally renowned Guarneri House Violin Shop, Yamaha's partner in Grand Rapids, MI, provides expert set-ups of this instrument.
Inspired by Guarneri del Gesu, the design and development of the Yamaha student model violins were born from the same harmony between traditional craftsmanship and advanced technology as the V30 and V60 professional models.
The design of the Yamaha AV10 violin follows years of research and development of high-end violins. In true 'top-down' fashion, Yamaha has taken the features and applied processes normally only found on the most expensive models to make the best possible student instrument.
