The Yamaha YTR8335LAS custom trumpet was developed in collaboration with west coast recording legend Wayne Bergeron.  This new Yamaha custom trumpet provides the perfect balance of resistance and openness to fit any style of playing.

The YTR8335LAS custom trumpet has hand-lapped pistons. Hand-lapping pistons and slides ensures an absolutely perfect fit and seal between the pistons and casing or slide parts. Such a perfect fit helps to achieve smooth air flow and smooth action and improves the response and intonation of the instrument. Other important features include laser-fused pluzuma welded bell, and a one-piece, drawn, gold brass leadpipe.

The YTR8335LAS utilizes a new bell-making process and the seam has been moved to the side, the wall thickness tapers towards the flare, and the small bell bead is rounded on one side and flat on the other. The improvement in sound is dramatic, and the tone is rich and full with a solid core.
