Yamaha has been designing and building saxophones for more than forty years. They have their own computer design center where they use the latest technology, software and computers to improve the design of the modern saxophone. From start to finish, it takes Yamaha about three months to make a sax, which is made up of about 600 pieces, and approximately 5.5 pounds of brass.
