The Yamaha Arius YDP140 digital piano features duet-friendly twin headphone jacks, a choice of six voices, and a high-efficiency 6W x 2 stereo amplifier for the two internal speakers, and four types of reverb capable of making a small room sound as big as a concert hall.

AWM Dynamic Stereo Sampling For Authentic Piano Sound

The Yamaha Arius YDP140 digital piano features Yamaha's sophisticated AWM (Advanced Wave Memory) with Dynamic Stereo Sampling for the ultimate in instrument realism. Taken at different 3 levels of soft, medium and loud each key is comprised of multiple stereo recordings of an actual grand piano. This provides subtle differences in volume and timbre depending on how you play the keys, and gives you full expressive control over the sound. In other words, you get a great piano sound!

Graded Hammer Standard - Realistic Piano Touch For The Aspiring Musician

Drawing on over a hundred years of experience and craftsmanship in making world class acoustic pianos, Yamaha introduces the Arius series. These new digital pianos provide exceptionally natural, grand piano-like touch, with realistic weight gradations - heavy in the lower end, and light in the upper. The YDP-140 features the entry-level Graded Hammer Standard (GHS) keyboard with realistic matte black finish key tops. While technically an entry level action (beneath the more sophisticated Graded Hammer Effect), GHS is designed for budding pianists who require weighted keys to develop the proper playing technique for an acoustic grand.

The built-in song recorder and metronome make this digital piano ideal for piano lessons, practicing, or even as a scratch-pad for your next masterpiece. Fifty specially selected piano songs of standard piano repertoire are built into each Yamaha Arius, either for your listening enjoyment, or as a rehearsal tool while playing out of the included 50 Greats for the Piano book.
