The Ibanez SZR520 guitar is a heavier mahogany battle axe than the Ibanez S series electrics. The SZR520 is thicker for more screaming, fat tone. Its 25.1" neck has a different feel than the 25.5" scale of the S. The SZR’s contours make up for any weight difference with a physical comfort that’s almost obscene. With a thick mahogany body, the SZR may be a bit heavier than the S but that just means there’s more to love!
The Ibanez SZR520 electric guitar has the new Neo-Z pickups with neodymium magnets, offering saturated high output with no mud. A one-piece mahogany set neck is topped with a bound rosewood fingerboard and medium frets.
This Ibanez guitar has fat mahogany tone, a set-in neck for superior sustain and comfort, and thru-body stringing for added sustain, tighter tension and clear articulation, and a beautiful natural finish with a flame maple top. The Gibraltar III bridge and matching hardware complete the kit. It's beauty and tone in one neat package.
