The new Ibanez RG420CMNBF electric guitar is inspired by the exotic wood RG Custom models of the late ‘80s and early ‘90s, and features a mahogany body with a striking cinnamon top. Other features of this Ibanez guitar are a 24 fret thin Wizard II neck, Ibanez Infinity humbucking pickups, and the double-locking Edge III tremolo system with a lower profile for more playing comfort.
The new Edge III is similar in construction and feel to the original Edge locking trem; however, it also features lower profile fine-tuners inspired by the Lo-PRO Edge and massive new-design saddles. The Edge III features two screws in the arm pocket, which allow easy adjustment of the arm height and torque.
Metal will always evolve and mutate into new and virulent forms, but one thing’s for sure: real metal guitarists will always reach for the Ibanez RG Tremolo. In the last two decades, no other guitar maker besides Ibanez has done so much to advance the art and science of the tremolo. The Edge III represents the next phase in locking tremolos.
The Ibanez RG420CMNBF electric guitar is part of the Ibanez RG series, and for two decades the RG electric guitar has reigned as the unquestioned monarch of metal guitars. The Ibanez RG420CMNBF electric has the perfect combination of fast, 24-fret Wizard neck, the right pickups and pickup placement, and fixed bridge design. To complete the package, you get a mahogany body with a flamed maple top for great tone.
