	The new Fender American Deluxe Telecaster guitar is a top-of-the-line American-made guitar for the player seeking an alder body with modern appointments. The American Deluxe Tele has a modern C-shaped maple neck with a satin polyurethane finish, and is available with a maple or rosewood fingerboard featuring abalone inlays and 22 medium jumbo frets. Other features include a pair of Samarium Cobalt Noiseless™ Tele pickups, a modern chrome stainless steel Tele bridge with chrome-plated solid brass saddles, and the S-1™ switching system. The Fender S-1 switching system give you a near-endless array of pickup options at your fingertips, and is now standard equipment in many of Fender's American Deluxe series and American series guitars. Fender's groundbreaking S-1 switching system allows players to switch pickup configurations in an instant. The switch is visually undetectable, but tonally it turns your instrument into the most versatile axe on the planet! Located in the crown of the master volume knob, one push of the switch will place your pickups in an assemblage of parallel, series and pickup-combining configurations. You can have the best of all worlds! In 1951 Leo Fender introduced a prototype solid-body guitar that would eventually be called the Telecaster® guitar. The Fender Tele, as it was often called then and still is today, was the first solid-body Spanish-style electric guitar to be commercially mass-produced.
