The Yamaha DGX505 has been replaced with the YPG525 and YPG625.

You're going to have some fun with the new Yamaha DGX505 Portable Grand! It sounds great, is easy to use and will keep you and your family entertained for hours at a time. The DGX505 features 88 touch-sensitive keys and combines the features of a digital piano and a portable keyboard with a stylish contemporary design.

If you want to start learning the piano, the Yamaha DGX505 has the features you need at a very affordable price. The DGX505 has larger wave ROM and an improved speaker system for better sound quality.

A large bit-mapped graphic LCD displays music scores, lyrics, and improved graphics for every function. New interactive lesson tools like "Your Tempo" and "Phrase Repeat" make learning to play even easier than before.

The Yamaha DGX505 also features "Performance Assistant", a new feature that allows you to play music right from the start for instant gratification. A USB interface, flash ROM, a one-touch PC button, and a smart media card slot are also provided on the DGX505. These new features make the Yamaha DGX505 internet ready and computer friendly.

The introduction of some remarkable features in Yamaha’s new DGX series will increase the fun in playing, creating and enjoying music of players throughout the world. In this regard as an example, the Floppy Disk Drives in the former models DGX300 and DGX500 have been replaced by Smart Media slots and all new models feature USB-interfaces. Despite the fact that this marvelous new DGX-series feature more high-tech novelties, the DGX-keyboards are still the ideal +61 key keyboards with a budget price tag.

Featuring an 88 key (light weighted piano-type with touch response) keyboard and a wonderful design that fits any demand in modern furniture design, the DGX505 is the perfect solution for either starting piano players or more advanced players looking for a budget piano to exercise. It offers the best to both worlds.

The side panels and the stand of the DGX505 are made of wood. This gives this instrument a certain ‘grace’ which you normally only find in more expensive digital pianos like the renowned Clavinova CVP-series. It also comes with a sustain pedal.

Internally the DGX505 offers everything little brother DGX305 offers as well: A beautiful high resolution stereo piano sample, about 500 voices (including Sweet!, Cool! And Live! Voices), a large backlit LCD-display, Smart Media slot, USB-interface, Performance Assistant and a CD Rom featuring Digital Music Notebook, Musicsoft Downloader, USB driver and manuals.
