The Bach 42 Stradivarius trombone is famous for its fullness of sound and projection. This is achieved by the use of one-piece construction, allowing for unrestricted vibration of the bell. The open wrap design of this 42BO model places fewer and larger bends in the tubing, resulting in less blowing resistance.
In addition to the shape of the bell flare (rate of taper), the type and thickness of the bell material also affect the sound. The Bach 42 has a one-piece, hand-hammered yellow brass bell. This results in a warm and rich tone. The Bach 42 trombone is ideal for situations requiring a dark rich tone or high dynamic levels without distortion. This is a truly amazing horn. This is my absolute dream horn, but, I d0on't have $2000 to fork out for it. Im not saying that's a bad deal, that is amazing! I've played one for a while, and it is the most well balanced horn I've ever played.
