Martha Mier is at home writing music in jazz and blues styles, and this piece is a good example of this.  Written in C position and 4/4 time, the slow tempo will give students a chance to express the melody that features the lowered third of the blues scale.  Octave higher and lower indications for the right and left hands offer students the opportunity to explore different registers of the keyboard.
